The Tree's State

Tuesday, August 11, 2020

I often find more visitors
wander across the forest floor,
to the base of my stable roots,
when dressed in my firey autumn adornments.
Burnt by licks of summer.
Yet I was just as much myself,
in my spring state,
when my green bearings roared.
