This is one of my ancestors, Joe Bridgeman (1947-1976). He also went by Joe Clark (Clark being his mother's maiden name.). I am hoping to learn more about him. I'm looking for stories and memories. I hope to find more photos, as I only have the one below and a blurred newspaper photo. A 2008 flood in Iowa destroyed many documents and photos. Joe grew up in Paducah, KY then moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, in 1965, with his family when he was a teenager. He trained at Fort Polk, Tigerland in Louisiana from December 1967 to May 1968. I am hoping to find his company and battalion to see if they made a military yearbook. He then served in Germany followed by Vietnam before returning back to Iowa. He passed away in a car accident at the age of 28 in 1976. Please share this with any friends or family you may have in a similar age range that live in those areas.
